E3 2005: Kirby Adventure screens and info

GCN News | Kirby returns.
Kirby's Adventure was an NES game developed by HAL Laboratory and released by Nintendo in 1993. It was the only NES game to feature the Nintendo character Kirby. Now several years in the future Nintendo plans on releasing a new Kirby game, going by the same name.

The story starts with Kirby setting out to retrieve the stolen arpstar from King Dedede. He will now be able to catch a ride on the backs of his helpers. A new attack system will be implemented, where Kirby can gain power by riding on up to three helpers. More helpers means more powerful attacks for Kirby. Kirby is the only chance to save the beautiful world of Dream Land.

Looks fantastic. Having not bought Kirby 64 (though, of course, I'll be able to with Revolution! icon_biggrin.gif), I feel obliged to pick this up icon_smile.gif
Haven't played a true Kirby game in ages... icon_smile.gif

[Edit: Ah, by the way, you get a much better impression from the video.]

I dunno, these games seem very old hat, and don't appeal to me. It doesn't help that it's sporting quite possibly the worst geometry I've seen for a long time. Poor form.
