E3 2005: New Zelda Logo Revealed

GCN News | And title confirmed....
We've gotten out hands on the logo for the new Zelda game, and it confirms a few things.

Firstly, confirmation that the game will be called The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, and secondly, that the wolf - which featured at the end a recent trailer - will play a central part in the game.

Awesome!

I think the wolf thing ties in with the word "twilight" quite well... especially if we're talking ware-wolves!

I like the logo and the name is OK too.

Twilight is a cool word in itself, and there's nothing inherently wrong with the word "princess" either, but when combined together, the word "princess" seems to give the word "twilight" a more pretty, beautiful feel than was perhaps intended.
I can see roughly what the title is trying to get at, but it conjures up the wrong image for me, I think.

Having said that, the logo itself kicks lots of ass. I like it. icon_biggrin.gif

A lot of people don't like the name 'Twilight Princess' (on other forums, etc.) I for one can't see what's wrong with it. It beats 'The Wind Waker' any day IMO.

I agree Hyperworm - both sound good seperatly, but together sounds a bit prissy. Oh well, I don't mind the name.

I don't know what to think of it! In one way it has a lot of meaning, to the people that know about the game. But to a non Nintendo fan, IMO I think they would reckon it's quite wussy!

On this topic I am going to stand on the sideline and watch because I am neither PRO or CON on this!

I quite like both the name and the logo.. I don't think it sounds any more wussy than any of the other Zelda titles..

Yeah just reading over my post, and I shouldn't of used wussy since that wasn't the term I was thinking of! I post it when it ocmes to me icon_razz.gif

not being much of a zelda fan, i quite like the name...

doesn't sound wussy or prissy to me, sounds mysterious... a princess of the night? a princess of darkness?

might not sound so cool when it's revealed what exactly it means (or it might sound just as, or even cooler), but right now, i like it...

Heh. Amy used to do that all the time, the dirty little hacker. icon_razz.gif

Come to think of it, the word 'Princess' doesn't do it any favours, though 'Twilight' is an undoubtedly cool word. In any case, this is really about a small facet of what is essentially an image suggesting the overall theme of the game. I like at least half of it (2/3rds if you include that wolf in the background), and that's good enough for me. icon_smile.gif
