Pre E3 2005: Nintendo's '06 Lineup

GCN News | What does Nintendo have in store for gamers next year?
Nintendo's partial list of offerings for 2006 are now flowing about the net. By the way the fiscal year 2006 starts on April 1 of 2005 and ends March 31st of 2006. Now if everyone looks below you will see what Nintendo has in store for us.

GAMECUBE
  • Battalion Wars
  • Dance Dance Revolution Mario Mix
  • Donkey Konga 2
  • Mario Party 7
  • Pokemon X.D. (Hopefully a better Pokémon RPG for GC)
  • Super Mario Strikers (soccer game)
  • The Legend of Zelda

NINTENDO DS
  • Advance Wars
  • Animal Crossing
  • Mario and Luigi 2
  • Mario Kart DS
  • Metroid Dread (new 2D Metroid title)
  • Metroid Prime Pinball
  • Nintendo Tetris
  • Touch Golf

GAMEBOY ADVANCE
  • Donkey Kong Country 3
  • Fire Emblem The Sacred Stones
  • Mario Tennis Advance (in development at Camelot)

In this list you can see many suprise titles along with ones that have been in production for a while now.
A couple of the surprises include the new 2D Metroid side-scroller Metroid Dread for the DS, which is sure to supply some solid retro action (I wonder what the touch screen will be used for?), and Touch Golf, which also seems rather interesting. The last Nintendo golf games have worked rather well.

On the Gamecube there seem to be some newly-announced titles that were probably expected, e.g. Donkey Konga 2 and Mario Party 7(!). It also seems like Nintendo is pushing its sports area; the new soccer title is sure to be one to watch out for. We also get another taste of Pokémon in 3D; we just hope that this title is better than its predecessor.

Be sure to check out PALGN over the E3 period as more information on these titles is sure to be told.

Is this confirmed?

A new Mario & Luigi game is AWESOME!
I loved that game - a sequel for the DS is just what I wanted.

And Mario soccer?!?
Cooool!
I've always wanted to see Mario soccer game (what ethnic Nintendo fan wouldn't, hey?)

Some I have heard of, but the soccer and M&L ones I reacted so postively to I have never heard anything about before.

This E3 just gets more and more exciting every day!

Super Mario Strikers...? icon_eh.gif
Well that is the first I have heard about that. I guess it was obvious that it would happen eventually. Is Camelot behind it?

Loving the idea of another Metroid title too. icon_smile.gif

Maybe it NEEDS the DS to be what they want it to be. I can imagine already that Mario and Luigi will have a screen each, i'm looking forward to some of the ideas it brings.

The Cube games don't exite me a great deal (bar Zelda of corse), but I can't believe the DS titles!! It sounds like I'd love all of them - hope their release date isn't to far away!!
