Why wouldn't Konami use the Metal Gear Solid 4 engine for this? They own the engine, and Act 1 in MGS4 was basically the same setting as we have here. The game COULD look amazing.
Looks a bit meh. ATM it sorta looks like a run and gun game, using a bit of cover maybe? I hope I am wrong and it is really realistic and you have to use tactics etc.
There was one. Vietcong. And it was pretty damn good.
I remember watching the trailer for that on the Mafia disc. It was by the same developer wasn't it? I should really look into that game, considering what I think of Mafia as a game.
I don't think those screens look that bad :/ The only thing that had me somewhat interested in this game is the fact that the developer was labelling this game as 'survival horror'.
After reading this wikipedia entry, I've suddenly become a hell of lot more receptive to the idea. It's sounds genuinely intruiging. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this one...
Capoeira that wiki page has really got me interested. At first I thought it was a shameful act but if they do what they are setting out to do then it could be great.

Destructable environments.

Atomic Games has also stated that the game's environments are 100% destructible and degradable thanks to a completely custom rendering engine, and it would surpass that of Battlefield: Bad Company [6]. Tamte states that "This engine gives us more destructive capability than we've seen in any game, even games that aren't finished yet."
I think they want the game to play amazingly rather then just look amazing.

Yeah, same here. My initial reaction was pretty much thinking it's just another game glorifying war. It was actually worse this time, seeing as they weren't hiding the fact it's set in Iraq. That wiki entry made me change my tune pretty fast.
Funny, I actually read that Wiki entry earlier this morning after reading a story about the game on Kotaku. Very interested to see how the game turns out.
