Australian Gaming Bargains - 08/11/07

Went to Kmart this morning to pick up the Xbox bundle with Viva Pinata, Forza 2 Motorsport and F.E.A.R. for $538, but it wasn't on the shelves. I asked an assistant and she said you have to get the games and Xbox separately and bring them to the counter. They only had Viva Pinata in, so I asked them to check the back, but she said nothing was back there. The lady told me I could price match cheaper or equal games instead of getting F.E.A.R and Forza 2, I went to do so until the manager there rudely told me I couldn't do that.

So I went to EB to price match, but they wouldn't do it as Kmart didn't have the exact games in stock.

Went to Dick Smith to try my luck and asked if she'd price-match. They said they do depending on the price (Even though they have "We won't be beaten on price" on their products) and said that they couldn't price match that for me. Those are the only 3 gaming stores in my area, so I guess I'll have to take the 20 min drive and try for JB and Kmart a few suburbs over on Monday. I'm kind of pissed off. Anyone have any luck with that Kmart deal?

@ genxevo, that's what I thought it would be, but they didn't have any of those on their shelves. They only had old Premium 360's with a price tag of $600 on them. I called up the Kmart a few suberbs away and they confirmed that, man my Kmart sucks.

Went back just now as I was picking my brother up from work and re-checked, but definatly nothing on the shelves and the employee there new nothing.

Edit:Just called again, so I could speak to someone working another shift and they said they've sold out of F.E.A.R so they can't do it for me. That's BS, I was there at 9am and they didn't have any copies of F.E.A.R. They shouldn't be able to advertise the deal is not all stores have the games in stock. At least this guy new about the deal though, unlike the woman this morning.
