Australian Gaming Bargains - 13/09/07

PALGN Feature | Massive Target sale.
This week sees the start of yet another Target movie/videogame sale which lasts for a couple of weeks. There is certainly a lot on offer, including a massive amount of discounted DS games as well as a few smaller (but still significant) Xbox 360, Wii and PSP savings. Meanwhile, Big W appears to be having a Xbox 360 clearance week with a fair number of titles discount to attractive prices.

One final note: Halo 3 is being released in a little under two weeks and if you’ve been thinking of taking advantage of the pre-order bonus at Target, then you may want to get down there within the next week.

I know you don't do requests, but off the top of your head, where's the place to go for xbox live points/membership and for charge+play kits? (if anyone else has info please share).

Also, I have kameo and pgr3 ready for the EBgames trade in deal on Halo 3, but I need a third game. Looking on ebay, but would prefer to get something here so I can get in asap. Anyone know of any titles (crap games will do) for around $20?

Cheers, as always it's great to see this feature of PALGN kept up to date.

Well live points/membership and plug n charge kits should be available in most shops. Though check out JB as they seem to have the best prices.

As for a 360 game around $20, if you have a dick smiths electronics or dick smiths powerhouse nearby they might have stock of Eragon on 360 which is currently selling for $20.

Has anyone else noticed that SCE published games like Heavanly Sword have a RRP of $109.95 (confirmed at au.playstation.com)? I pre-ordered Uncharted, and it's the same price. Didn't all SCE games (R:FoM, MotorStorm, etc..) all have a RRP of $99.95 previously? More reason to buy from PlayAsia I guess (Hevanly Sword is about $80 (incl. P/H).

GAME are selling THAW on 360 for $19.95 according to their website...and according to someone who posted in the General Gaming forum, they are honouring their 20% off everything sale until Saturday (the selected stores only of course).

GAME also sell Live points for $24.95, prior to the 20% reduction.

Isn't it nice when things just work?

Took Kameo + PGR3, ($17.50 each) and Gun ($20) into EBGames (Hay St, Perth), and preordered the collectors edition of Halo 3 ($120) for $20.

For those of you who hate maths, that's $75 for a $120 game.

I love it when EBGames' deal work my way icon_biggrin.gif

The guys there were really helpful too, (one of them actually told me where to get the third game (Gun - got it at a GAME sale for $19.99) which I was lacking when I first went there). So I'll buy my games from there from now on, much nicer than the EBG in the galleria.

Yeah I paid $140 for Oblivion, Condemned, GRAW2 and Halo SE, which is great since I got plenty of play time out of the three I traded in. (I think 90 hours on Oblivion alone ... >.>)
