The PALGN Podcast, Episode 2

PALGN Feature | Wiimania, booth babes, and more dead hardware.
As we boldly continue our trek into space and time unknown to other podcasts, we push the boundaries closely held by the sane by defying the podcast gods, challenging the orthodoxy, and seeding the roots of rebellion from the PALGN control centre. With Nev still playing his Dreamcast in the corner. It's dead, Nev. Really.

In this episode, Evan, James, Neil, and podcast newcomer Tristan discuss the aftermath of BioShock's copy protection debacle, whether or not the Wii is deserving of the kudos it's been receiving, and in the wake of Leipzig, what role games conferences do and should play in the industry. Tragically, the horrors of war continue with the latest casualty in the ongoing battle against gaming mediocrity - a router, injured while covering for a BioShock download. He was going home in June to see his fiancée, too. A moment of silence for the fallen, please.

Unfortunately, no shout-outs this time - with all the excitement, we just plumb forgot. You'll just have to tune in next time, Jibbs, GroovySamurai, and Mitchacho. Oh, wait ...

Wow another great podcast, just finished listening.

About the different directions Microsoft are taking I actually find it a good strategy. There giving the option for everyone, if your hardcore gamer go for the elite, premium if your a casual gamer theres the core system. With the PS3 you have to pay out top dollar without any other options such as a cheaper system with a smaller hard drive.

And about the gaming conferences I don't really understand the point of them? I understand there a good way for developers to get word out on there games but most of the time all they really do is just hype up the media and make them bias towards a unfinished product.. Its just a way to get the media to put out the hype, then the games end up selling despite how good the end product ends up being, I spose thats what I'm trying to say :/ and got to agree with Neil, thats what the Internet is there for.

I listened to the first ~40 minutes.

I agree with most things said about the Wii, but I really do hope in about a years time it's gone the way of the DS with its library.

Good show guys but the opening theme song still makes me cringe.

I played original manhunt. It was released for about 3 weeks and then pulled from the shelves. Of course there was grey importing.

Manhunt was average at best, but the second has (had?) ball-tearing-off!
