Australian sales charts, week ending 05/08/07

PALGN News | Still partying.
For the second week in a row, Mario Party Wii is the highest selling game in Australia, showing more selling power than the rest of the series combined. The newest Guitar Hero installment (or cash-in, whatever floats your boat), Rocks the 80s debuted to a magnificent ovation, taking the number two spot. The seemingly indestructible Motorstorm is back in the charts for the millionth time, taking third. The brothers Pokemon have returned to something resembling their former chart glory, with Diamond and Pearl taking the fourth and fifth spots respectively.

The giant mechanised robots known as Transformers continue to tear up the charts on the PS2 this week, closing at six. Rugby 2008 debuted to solid sales, but could only manage seventh overall. Singstar Pop Hits - the non-bundle version - re-entered the charts at eighth overall. Dr. Kawashima's Brain Training is at nine, somehow managing to outsell it's younger brother. Suffering a colossal drop was the Singstar Pop Hits bundle, falling from two all the way to ten.

The charts are updated weekly and are provided by the beautiful and lovely people at GfK.

Motorstorm, would that include the units sold as part of the bundle? If so interesting to note resistance in nowhere to be seen.

I'm surprised that Transformers is still at No.3 in the 360 chart.
