Australian sales charts, week ending 29/07/07

PALGN News | Party charts.
We have a new number one. Err, again. The honour goes to Mario Party 8 on the Wii, up three spots from last week. This caused last week's champion, Singstar Pop Hits, to drop to second. Cars for the Wii is up to three, benefiting from department store bundles somewhere. Eyetoy: Sports dropped two places to finish at four, while Pokemon: Diamond gained five places to finish at five. Apparently poke-power isn't enough to dominate the charts for months at a time these days.

Transformers is still kicking around, up one place to six this week. The last four games in the top ten this week are all Nintendo DS, oddly enough. The first of which is Spectrobes, slipping to seven after managing third last week. Pokemon Pearl is back in the top ten after a week off, grabbing the eighth spot. More Brain Training fell from five to nine, while the first Brain Training game rounds out the charts at ten.

The charts are updated weekly and are provided by the beautiful and lovely people at GfK.

Mario Party, Pokemon and Singstar I can understand, but Cars? At number THREE? Was it on special or something?

Yeah, it was only $40 or so I think from Kmart and Big W, EB also had it pretty cheap if I remember correctly, cheap for them anyway. There was also a bundle somewhere, are they included?

heh! Only PS2, Wii and DS made the all format top 10.
