Australian sales charts, week ending 01/07/07

PALGN News | Insert relevant and highly witty pun here.
Pokemon Diamond/Pearl are still at the top of the charts, after making their debuts last week. And, let's be honest - they probably won't be moving anywhere anytime soon. Singstar Pop Hits went up a few spots to take the other podium position at three. It's the first of three new entries at four - AFL Premiership 2007, which will no doubt sell like hotcakes for the rest of the year. The excellent Forza Motorsport 2 dropped two positions to finish at five.

The PlayStation 2 tie-in to the newest Harry Potter movie, The Order of the Phoenix, debuted at six, and will no doubt keep selling for some weeks to come. Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters made a re-entry at seven. Meanwhile, the Eyetoy: Sports bundle lost some ground to close at eight. Keeping the Xbox 360 racing theme going at nine is the new entry of Colin McRae: Dirt. Finally, rounding out the charts is a returning God of War 2.

The charts are updated weekly and are provided by the beautiful and lovely people at GfK.

GoWII being sold everywhere for $50 probably helped out a little.

It's not as if there are any other decent AFL games to play, so people who want AFL games have to settle for this one. (Although if they're getting it when they have last years games, I don't really see the point).

lol exactly my point, the only reason for this that i can think of is that people want the up to date rosters. in which case, the developer should just make an online patch with current rosters and spend a few more years developing a decent AFL title.
