Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 media released

PALGN News | Kamehameha!
Atari have sent through several new screens of the recently announced Dragon Ball Z : Budokai Tenkaichi 3.

The game will apparently include an improved control system for the Wii as well as over 150 playable characters, 20 of whom haven’t previously been in any other Dragon Ball Z game. Levels have also been enhanced to feature new day and night environments. This will give players "additional ways to transform their characters", namely by harnessing the power of the moon.

Dragon Ball Z : Budokai Tenkaichi 3 is expected to release before Christmas across all PAL regions this year and will be available on the PlayStation 2 and Wii.

Looking nice, seems the ape forms will now be achieved via locking onto the moon or some such, much better than having them as a transformation via a button. Can't wait.

I still can't possibly see what they have added that makes this warrant a purchase, considering I already have DBZ: BT2.

I have a strong feeling this is going to have minimal difference from the second one.

I also have a strong feeling I'll be buying it...

Well, I think the moon idea is great, far more true to the DBZ series. Also nice to see more characters, though it is starting to get ridiculous, 150 characters! icon_eek.gif Can they possibly put more characters into the game! it's got to be some kind of record, I can't think of any other fighting game that has that many characters. Wow.

I hope they do a good job with their control ideas, I though the controls in BT2 were pretty good already, so I'm not sure what they will do. I wish they would hurry up and announce a PS3 DBZ game already. icon_smile.gif

The screenies looks nice. I enjoy playing the second game(can't be bother with the damn name!) at my friends place. Its great playing a quality DBZ game. Brings back some nostalgia. icon_smile.gif

I'd be interested to see how this game advances the formula.
