Call of Duty 4 trailer online now

PALGN News | Modern Warfare confirmed.
As we reported last week, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has been unveiled in trailer form. As was expected (as if the title didn't clue you in), the World War II setting has been thrown in the bin for now, replaced with, erm, modern day combat zones, such as Africa and the Middle East.

You can view the trailer, supplied by GameTrailers.com, here.

Still no word of what platforms the game will be on, or a release date. Or anything else other than the trailer, really. But as soon as we hear anything, we will let you know.

The trailer looks nice, and a CoD style game set in modern day will probably work well, but I love WW2, and I am going to really miss the Kar98K. I will definately be picking it up on the 360 for some great Live action though.

Yeh I downloaded the trailer earlier....it definatly looks pretty cool, but it does resemble GRAW in a way, I do prefer the COD gameplay over GRAW though.

It will probably be for PC, X360 and PS3 only, and we will probally see a Big Modern Red One version different released by the dodgy and bugger makers of COD3, Treyarch.

Im definatly going to miss the WWII...but the WWII genre no offence is getting boring and bland, they might aswell make use of there IP, and the original COD team and bring a new, re-invented COD to the table.

War games appear to just be getting bigger and better. The "modern" setting is a fantastic idea and i am looking forward to picking this one up on the PS3.

I don't like war games of any sort. I really don't think they should be cashing in on things enormous amounts of people actually died for.

I also don't like the idea of having soldiers in Afgan or Iraq, and then on the other side of the world some fat chicken eating kid saying, "w00t this is the kewlest!!1".

Shooters which involve aliens, zombies, or some fictional "terrorists"?? I can dig that.
