E3 exhibitors list released

PALGN News | Looking a lot slimmer than last year.
This year's E3 Media and Business Summit will feature just 32 publishers and developers, according to details released to the press today. While all the major players of the games industry are in the exhibitor list, the figure still pales in comparison to the 400 companies that attended E3 in 2006.

Meanwhile, 30 of the 32 companies named are either publishers or platform holders, with Foundation 9 Entertainment and id Software the only independent developers on the guest list.

The drastic reduction in exhibitors reflects the toned-down nature of this year's event, which will take place in Santa Monica, California from July 11-13. PALGN will be in attendance at the event. Here are the 32 companies confirmed as exhibitors so far:
  • 1C Company
  • Activision
  • Akella
  • Atari
  • Atlus
  • Disney Interactive Studios
  • Capcom
  • Codemasters
  • Crave Entertainment
  • Eidos
  • Electronic Arts
  • Foundation 9 Entertainment
  • id Software
  • Konami
  • Logitech
  • LucasArts
  • Majesco
  • Microsoft
  • Midway
  • Namco Bandai Games
  • NCsoft
  • Nintendo
  • Nyko Technologies
  • Sega
  • Sony Computer Entertainment
  • Sony Online Entertainment
  • Square Enix
  • Take-Two Interactive
  • THQ
  • Ubisoft
  • Vivendi Games
  • Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment

Hmm, U expect considering all the major players are still there, the fanfare will most likley be as big

I thought the big three weren't going and doing there own thing instead?

Hmm, still should be good still then, yeah?

Edit: Just realised this clashes with Harry Potter 5 opening. Looks like I'll be sleeping through E3 icon_lol.gif

it just feels like one step backwards for me, dont know exsactly why they have restricted the numbers this year, they might stay 'to tone it down' but it just doesnt seem be an reasonable exscuse since you want everything to be hyped up for users and journalists alike.

You guys are going? I thought they made it so only US publications could go?

That was the case at one point. But a few months ago, the rules were changed and non-US publications can now be invited.
