Capcom announces Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law

PALGN News | Phoenix Wright meets his licenced match on PS2 & PSP.
Among the typical multitude of remakes, ports and sequels at Capcom's Gamer's Day 2007 yesterday, there was an unexpected licence deal rearing its hilarious form - that is, a Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law game in development by High Voltage, with publishment handled by Capcom.

Parallels to Capcom's own Phoenix Wright series are inevitable, and while nothing was specifically announced concerning the style of gameplay, one would hope the developer will put two and two together from the legal themes in both licences alone.

Based on one of the few Cartoon Network Adult Swim animated series that actually makes one laugh along with a Hanna-Barbera creation, little else was revealed about the game other than it will be released later this year on both PS2 and PSP.

Ha Ha Ha! P.

If it's a Phoenix Wright-style game, it's entirely down to the writers. So, High Voltage could do little to screw this up if the Birdman writers were on board. I have high hopes, because I adore this show.

I want it. It amazes me that the PS2 just refuses to die. It's like Ray Martin.

Oh, that is brilliant.

Crying and flicking to the red light that its on PS2 and PSP though - although don't most PS2 and PSP games get motion controls shoved in and become Wii games sooner or later anyway?

As long as they don't absolutely screw us over and butcher the awesomeness that is Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law then this is a must-have for me.

Be nice if this was like Phoenix Wright, though the console presence makes me think it's just gonna be some crappy platformer.

BIIIIIIIIIIIIIRRRRRRRRD MAN! *flushes toilet*

YES! YES! YES! Phoenix Wright it looked like it was meant to incorporate a sense of humor but was kind of cheesy, at least we know that Harvey Birdman is hilarious. I am indeed looking forward to this

I wish it could have been a DS release as Phoenix Wright suited the DS fine but PS2 will have to do
