Updated Australian release list, 2/10/06

PALGN News | Including confirmed Wii release dates.

The Australian PALGN release list has now been updated to include the Nintendo Wii. Since the confirmation of launch on December 7, Activision, EA, THQ and Ubisoft have all provided us with a comprehensive list of their launch titles. Ubisoft in particular have pulled through with no less than seven titles, including the exclusive Red Steel, though Activision and EA have some of their bigger titles making the launch, and THQ is to bring a few popular franchises to the table. Even with The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess being the only confirmed Nintendo title (we're not complaining), it's a very impressive and varied line-up. Aside from the dates, the prices have not been confirmed, though we're not expecting anything grossly above current retail levels.

This is great news. I was starting to think that we were getting Zelda and nothing else. Good to hear that the PAL versions of these games are coming out at launch after all. Damnit! Now I have choices to make!

This is what I got:

According to the new Big W catalogue, the Xbox 360 Wireless Entertainment Bundle contains the premium console, 2 wireless controllers, Live Arcade Unplugged, Kameo, and a 2 month Live subscription. It will be sold for $698.

As stated in the original article, Nintendo are yet to confirm anything other than Zelda. SO it's quite possible more titles will be added to the list in the next month.

Im amazed at the amount of games coming out on PS2. Its like half the article. And half of them are "budget".

Looks like the PS2 are hoping for a resurgence in sales for those who want a cheap games system, now that the system and games are so cheap (same tactic that they used with the PSOne)

Regarding the Wii release titles, where is the info sourced from? On the Nintendo site there are only 3 games confirmed for Dec 7 ...

Unplugged actually has decent games on it. Marble Blast? and Geometry Wars and others I think.

PALGN probably got the dates from the PR people, my release list from Activision says that too, and Ubisoft have confirmed those dates for me.

EA dont support single format sites so I dont get there Pr's so your'll have to take PALGN's word, which is trustworthy

Europe date = October 27
Aus date = November 3

Difference = 1 week in Europe before Aus

Directly from the publishers mate, all confirmed from the companies which is why there are a few titles missing and we couldn't confirm Excitetruck yet.
