eGames 06: Nintendo and Microsoft increase support

PALGN News | Next generation consoles everywhere.
The Official eGames blog has confirmed that Nintendo will be bringing the Wii to the eGames & Entertainment Expo, which is to be held in Melbourne on November 17th, 18th and 19th. It will be one of the first opportunities for the Australian public to get its hands on the Wii. The blog declares that Nintendo has, "made a point of making it clear that they will ONLY be attending The eGames & Entertainment Expo" and will be "stocked to the gills with titles for people to take a gander at". Sounds good to us!

The eGames Expo will also be flooded with the Xbox 360. The floor space that Microsoft will be occupying is in excess of 100 square metres with over twenty playable Xbox 360 machines. According to the eGames blog, all will be hooked up to Live with the latest games on show.

In other news, Intel has signed up as an official partner, so it seems that the expo is getting bigger by the day. Remember that if you want to keep track of the expo then the eGames & Entertainment Expo website has all the latest updates. Also, PALGN will be bringing you comprehensive coverage on the lead-up and duration of the show. Don't forget that PALGN will be on the show floor (in our own booth, no less), so pop along and say hello.

Guess I'll need to find a Memory card, there might be some nice stuff from the 360 Kiosks there.

I can't understand our local Nintendo division anymore. Why is it that they are willing to do things like this (show off their products at this expo and also give code to magazines) but they aren't willing to give the same sort of generosity (spelling?) to websites such as this one? It just doesn't make sense. icon_confused.gif
