Yakuza to get a sequel

PALGN News | Along with a movie to follow.
IGN have reported that the PS2 game, Ryu ga Gotoku, known in the west as Yakuza, will be receiving a sequel in Japan later this year. Japanese gamers will be able to delve into the depths of the Japanese crime-world once again, come December. A website for the game has been setup, so brush up on your Japanese to find out more.

The original, with full translation, will be released in Europe September 15 and, less than a week later on September 21, in Australia. If all goes well with those sales we can expect to see the sequel localized too.

Alongside these developments on the game side of things, a feature film is in development. The film will be directed by Takashi Miike, who is a much acclaimed director in his homeland of Japan. Miike’s other film include, Ichi the Killer and One Missed Call, amongst other.

I hear what you're saying ultra. Exactly my thoughts when I heard The first Yakuza was coming out. Despite it flaws Shenmue and Shenmue 2 were awesome games. Ryu and Shenhua are still waiting in that cave for us to help them track down Lan Di dammint!
