Leipzig GC: Battalion Wars set for Wii follow-up

PALGN News | War to be waged on Wii.
Nintendo's press conference at the Leipzig Game Conference finished a matter of minutes ago, and, although we didn't get a price or date for the Wii, we did receive news that Battalion Wars, last year's likeable strategy title for the GameCube, will be getting a follow-up on the Wii. There was little else revealed about Battalion Wars II (cornily abbreviated by Nintendo to BWii), though it is going to be playable on the Leipzig show floor, alongside Nintendo's other newly announced Wii title, Mario Strikers Charged.

Frankly, we imagine this could be perfect with the Wii-mote, and since Wii was announced many fans have commented on the potential for excellent strategy game control. More from Leipzig as it comes in.
