Australian sales charts, week ending 20/08/06

PALGN News | New games would be nice.
Not a whole lot of change in the charts this week - shock, horror, etc. AFL Premiership 2006 is still firmly entrenched in its #1 position, followed by Singstar Anthems. Buzz: The Big Quiz made another surge up the charts, this time jumping a whopping four spots to #3. This pushed New Super Mario Bros. - which isn't quite so new anymore - down to #4. At #5 is Guitar Hero, continuing its tradition of bouncing up and down the charts like a yo-yo.

Former champion Cars on the PS2 is slowly slipping further down the charts, stopping at #6 this week. World of Warcraft actually managed to retain its #7 place, ending its trend of re-entering the charts one week and disappearing the next. Brain Training on the DS was up two spots to #8. Rounding out the charts are two re-entries - Pokemon Emerald at #9, and The Sims 2: Open for Business.

The charts are updated weekly and are provided by GfK.

The nation wide Pokémon is to blame for this outrage.
