Mortal Kombat: Armageddon coming soon?

PALGN Rumour | Every fighter to return?
US magazine Game Informer appear to have spilled the first details on the next Mortal Kombat game, titled Mortal Kombat: Armageddon. Apparantly the game will feature all sixty characters from the series, as well as the ability to create a fighter.

The game will also feature an air combo system, that let's you chain combos together whilst your character is in the air. The fatality system is also due to be redesigned, and is sure to create even more controversy.

The game is set for release in October this year, we'll have more information on the game (including news on if the rumour is true) shortly.

air combos?
combos are one thing i don't really like in fighters, at least not pre-determined combos.

i'm also glad the fatalities are getting a makeover. the last game was a return to the stupid for many of the characters, though i hope arena fatalities return.

i might get the last game out again tonight...

If I remember correctly the devs said this game would feature 60 fighters from the Mortal Kombat series.

That's a lot of fatalities.

Hopefully, this will be on all console platforms, unlike some other recently released fighting game.
