I'd say its worse than the first, as its pretty damn linear, and the only thing close to a sidequest is collecting beans, which really isn't a sidequest. And it is really just more of the same, but doubled, so, if you didn't like the first it wont really change your mind.

If you thought the control scheme was complicated, then I'd avoid this, since its the same thing times 2 (though you don't need to swap who is leading). And the humour is the same sort of thing, though there is a 1337 speak session that internet nerds would probably get a kick out of, that wasn't in the first game. But if these things didn't appeal to you, this wont change your mind.

That being said, you're crazy for not liking the first. I personally loved the control scheme and the humour. But if the first wasn't your cup of tea, this wont be either.
