12 Days of Christmas - Second Giveaway!

PALGN News | Win X3, Starship Troopers, Matrix and more. First winner announced.
First up, we're pleased to announce that the winner of our 1st prize pack is:

Pamela L.
Tasmania, Australia

Congratulations Pamela - your prize pack will be on its way shortly!

So how can you win? Well, entry is simple. You don’t need to answer any surveys or questions. All you have to do is follow this link and input your email address. If this is the first time you've entered, then you’ll need to put in a few details so we can contact you, though rest assured that when you enter on subsequent days you won’t be prompted for your details again. Don't forget - you need to enter once for each prize pack, so if you've entered before, you'll need to enter again in order to be in the running for today's prize.

This year we thought we’d try something new and have added a referral system. When you refer other people to the competition, you'll gain extra entries for yourself. More information will be emailed to you when you enter for the first time. We've had a great response so far, with the number of entrants well into in four digits after only 48 hours. Make sure you use the referral system to increase your chance of winning.

So what are we giving away? Well, today we've got a copy of The Matrix: Path of Neo on the Playstation 2, as well as Starship Troopers, X3: Reunion and Resident Evil Outbreak: File #2 up for grabs. On hat note, PALGN would like to extend its thanks to all the companies who have provided games for today’s prize pack, including Atari, QVS, Red-Ant and THQ.

Our winner for this prize pack will be unveiled on Monday.

PRIZES

X3: Reunion

Release Date: 14th November, 2005
RRP:$89.95 | F: PC-CD Rom
DEgosoft | P: QV software
PALGN REVIEW | BUY NOW

X3 Reunion, an ambitious title that offers an open-ended structure, is the follow-up to critics' favourite X2. The game is upgraded from its predecessor and includes the ability to trade in a new economy and fight individual dog fights. It's been years since X2 appeared, so fans of the series will be pleased to hear the series has returned.

The Matrix: Path of Neo

Release Date: 21st November, 2005
RRP:$99.95 | F: Playstation 2
D:Shiny | P: Atari
PALGN PREVIEW | BUY NOW

After the questionable Enter the Matrix, the Wachowski brothers have returned with a somewhat better Matrix game where you actually get to take control of Neo himself. The story follows the events of all three Matrix titles and some of the core moments from the film are in the game. There's also movie footage and the ability to execute all the movies that Neo did in the movies. The game also allows the Wachowski brothers to finish the story of the series.

...

Starship Troopers

Release Date: 10th November, 2005
RRP:$89.95 | F: PC-CD
D:Empire | P: Red-Ant
BUY NOW

It's been years since Starship Troopers the movie first came out, so it's a little bizarre that we would see a game so long after the original theatrical release (and after the terrible direct to video sequel). The game follows the storyline of the original movie (and thankfully not the successor) and allows you to commander a field of men against hundreds upon hundreds of bugs. Whilst you are a leader, it really is every man for himself, with bugs appearing from all directions to attempt to kill you.

Resident Evil Outbreak: File #2

Release Date: September, 2005
RRP:$89.95 | F: Playstation 2
D Capcom | P: THQ
PALGN REVIEW | BUY NOW

The original Resident Evil Outbreak title was criticised simply because it actually turned out to be an offline title that also wasn't particularly good. Finally the series goes online with mixed results, as you take on the role of one of eight survivors trying to live through the night. Some players are online and some are computer controlled, but you have to keep an eye on them simply because they could become zombies at any time.

And to the others who offered genuine congratulations I'd like to say thankyou. I believe they certainly did pick the right Tasmanian! It feels a great honour to be the first winner.

And thanks guys for running this comp - these prizes will certainly be well used in this household.
Cheers

Hello PamelaL,

ignore Warney, he's merely referring to the fact that a vast percentage of PALGNs traffic is restricted to the main site, and not the forums.

congratulations on winning and thanks for popping in and saying hi.
