Australian Sales Charts, Week Ending 20/11/05

PALGN News | This week, the podium goes to Sony's gimmick games.
Buzz: The Music Quiz managed to retain its #1 spot - the only game in the top 10 to do that this week. Eyetoy: Play 3 came in at #2, while Singstar 80s lifted to #3, making it a trifector for Sony's party games. Sliding in at #4 was the superb Mario Kart DS - but whether it will make a play for the podium or fall out of the charts in the next few weeks remains to be seen. Also rising was the game-only edition of Eyetoy: Play 3, coming in at #5.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire on PS2 debuted at #6 - unsurprising, given that the movie will be a sure-fire hit. Star Wars: Battlefront II slipped to #7 this week, coinciding with its review score. Crash Tag Team Racing dropped to #8 this week, while the lone PC representative, Age of Empires III, hit #9. Finally, closing out the charts is the re-entry of former chart top dog, Nintendogs: Lab & Friends.

The charts are updated weekly and are provided by GfK.

GameCube (over $50)

4th is pritty good for Mario Kart, seeing that Buzz and Singstar have been advertised heavily and that there are many many more PS2 owners out there than DS owners. Let's see if it can stand the test of time.

Nintendogs is still in the top 10 after all this time! I wonder where it would be placed if the three games were counted as one game in sales?

Nintendogs came back into the top ten, after leaving for a few weeks. It wasn't in there the whole time.

And I'm not sure if this was only in W.A or country wide. K-mart, Target and Big W didn't get any stock of Mario Kart in.

Not one Xbox game in the top ten list. Interesting.
