SP Headphone Adapter Competition Winners

PALGN News | The results are in! Did you win? Find out inside.
Below are the entries that the staff judged to be the best 7 out of the lot. Could one of these be the key to the future of Nintendo’s marketing? Maybe Nintendo should have a look at a few of these icon_wink.gif

Stop screwing the fans around. Advertise more, focus on future GCN products. Give the fans something for being loyal, not just a quick fix free game please buy our console bit. Run through the streets naked with a megaphone. No reason, Its just fun.
- Paul Hackett

50 words was too little for my master plan, so I used under 50 words and combined them with highly detailed pictures to explain my plan (See attached). I think you can understand how I plan to use my position to create the 'Private Nintendo Advertising Army of Justice'. Included picture.
- Steven Aaron Hughes

If I were appointed the exalted position of Nintendo's new marketing manager, my first act of duty would be to advertise some games, because word on the street is in some countries people hear about games and then play them. Yeah I know, I was surprised too.
- Peter Fitzgerald

1) Product: cut back on R&D expenditure, the bright minds are already there
2) Price: keep steady. If it's too low, it's seen as an inferior product.
3) Promotion: spend! TV advertising, limited print, lots of sales promotions (special events, sponsorships footy season has just started ). Promote the image/brand!
4) Distribution: Improve the relationships with retailers, spend to get the better space. People need to find the product they want to buy.
- Spencer Hulme

I would decide that we shouldnt sell our new GBA SP for 10$ less than the GameCube. We lower the price of the GBA SP , increasing the amount of products sold per year, reducing our net assets but in return maximising total equity. And voila, im dizzy.
- Alasdair Tremblay-Birchall

I'd fire all of marketing staff, and hire hardcore N-fans. I'd add subliminal messages to everything against the competition. These messages would be everywhere, and I would create microscopic robots to implant anti- Playstation and Microsoft thoughts into people's minds. My workers would then plant bombs around competitors HQ's.
- Aaron McCarlie

Firstly, I would make it so that the console is fluffy, that way it would appeal to everyone. Who wouldnt want a fluffy console?? I would also make this console any colour the person wanted it to be, a bit like those paint places were they match the colours. Anyway, thats what i think
- Zak Ahchay

Congratulations! If you’re one of these people, then look out for your adapter arriving in the mail over the next couple of days.

Better luck next time to everyone else.

I had a Nintendo one and a third party one and I tested them both - they sound exactly the same. They are just a piece of cable after all icon_razz.gif You get those same annoying loading sounds on the Nintendo ones too on the games that they occur on.

The Nintendo ones work a treat, so I guess 3rd party ones were bound to be dodgy. Specially free ones. icon_wink.gif And I still think that either the games or my headphones lack bass. icon_confused.gif
