Australian Sales Charts, Week Ending 09/10/05

PALGN News | It's chart-tacular!
AFL Premiership 2005 has retained it's #1 chart position for the third week in a row now - despite being mostly rubbish. It would be fair to expect it to start slipping down the charts next week, as the 2005 AFL season becomes a distant memory. #2 saw Nintendogs: Dachschund also hold onto its position, proving to be the strongest of the Nintendogs. The first mover of the week is The Sims 2: Nightlife jumping up to #3, pushing those cute little labradors in Nintendogs: Lab and Friends down to #4. FIFA 2006, despite being utterly average, grabbed an extra two chart positions this week, rising to #5.

Ricky Ponting Cricket 2005 on the PS2 held firm at #6 - but with the cricket season about to launch into high gear, we can only see this game going up. The ugliest of the Nintendogs, Chihuahua, slipped again to #7 this week. Fallen champion Pokemon Emerald hasn't lost its dignity, still hanging in there with a respectable #8. At #9 was the Xbox outing for Ricky Ponting, while closing up the charts is the only new entry of the week, FIFA 2006 on the Xbox.

The charts are updated weekly and are provided by GfK.

DoW: Winter Assault must've been a bit of a mover, given it only came out last Tuesday (well, in WA it did, i think it was the same everywhere else) and it's second in PC titles.

one thing with DoW though, i don't understand why you would buy the GOTY edition when you can get the Gold edition, which is the GOTY edition AND the exp, for the same price.
