Australian Sales Charts, Week Ending 28/08/05

PALGN News | Not a whole lot of movement this week.
This week, the top six has a fairly similar make up to last week. Pokemon Emerald is a given at #1, whilst last week's runner up, Singstar Pop, has slipped to #5. In it's place, Cricket 2005 on the PS2 rose back to #2, in turn allowing its Xbox brethren to push up to #3. Battlefield 2 managed to avoid team killing itself this week, holding at #4. Likewise, Gran Turismo 4 spun the tires to remain at #6.

Further down the charts, World of Warcraft managed to lift its game (get it - game? Because it's a game? PALGN brings the comedy!) to the #7 position. At #8 - up from number 10, regardless of what it says in the picture - is The Sims 2: University, proving you can't keep a good sim down. Tekken 5 has put up a strong fight, but its chart days look over as it slowly falls out of the charts, landing at #9 this week. And, finally, the excellent Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater managed to creep into the charts at #10.

Will the PSP launch have a big impact on the charts? Find out next week.

The charts are updated weekly and are provided by GfK.
