i might try and pick up DMC3 tonight...

and maybe CoD:FH too... since i think this is the price drop you recommended waiting for...

undecided about it yet though... i was given a copy of killzone last night, so my console FPS tolerence may decline rapidly...

i bought CoD: Finest Hour and DMC3 tonight... been playing CoD for a bit and while it's not perfect, it doesn't seem so bad so far...

yeah i spent the weekend mostly playing DMC3...

i'm stuck atm though

i'm in the tower, activated the elevator, and have nowhere else to go... i need to find something to open the chamber of skulls (or something like that... there are 2 pillars, the left is complete, and it says something appears to be missing from the right)

(EDIT: actually i just remembered another door i haven't opened... maybe i should go there first )

i have 3 guns (E&I, Shotty and some gun that looks like the laser pistol from Stargate... Artemis??) and 3 Devil Arms (Reb, Cerberus, and the Agni/Rudra pair) i don't actually know how many weapons are in this game...

i've got past the area i was talking about... it was due to the other door i remembered at work, so that was handy

i've now fought Vergil and am a few levels after that... saying where would be too spoilerific so i'm trying to be vague...

it's been hard-ish, but nothing too bad... maybe it's in comparison to God of War or something... i've been playing that a bit recently...

though that's not particularly hard either... (at least, not yet) it took me a few goes initially... and i got asked if i wanted easy mode... but i just needed to get my groove back

maybe i'm just 1337

i hired DMC1 when it first came out, played it a fair bit, but didn't finish it... i borrowed DMC2 from my cousin and actually enjoyed it (though now i see why it was bagged for being awful... compared to DMC3 it is) i finished that one back to front... everything you could do, i did...

if you mean puzzles as in the blue soul-locked rooms, i disagree... most of the puzzles like that have still been kill a particular demon to get a drop... there has so far been very few actual thinking puzzles (actually, i think i did the first one that made me think only recently... it involved mirrors and light... and even then, once i actually looked at the puzzle instead of just hitting things, it was easy...)

but yeah, the "puzzles" in terms of finding the right key to open the right door has at times been a bit odd... but even at the point i got stuck, the game actually takes you to the room you find the door in, it's just a large room and i forgot it... so that was more my fault than the game being tricksy

yeah the bosses have been tough... that first one (the one outside his store/office) was a b!tch... it took me a few goes, but once you get used to dodging and jumping it's pretty easy... good thing too, you fight 2 at once later... so far i don't think i've beaten a boss on the first go... and i've only beaten one on the second (that was Agni and Rudra... which was a fluke... basically the fire sword is hurt by ice[Cerberus] and the Air sword is hurt more by Rebellion)

Vergil is tough... i lost count after 5 attempts... but it would've been at least 8 tries... and i only barely beat him the last... (well, maybe not barely... i would've used a vital star if i'd missed my last hit)

he may have been exceptionally tough to me though because he's immune to guns... which is what i've been upgrading over h2h... simply because that is my style of playing...

^ yeah i tended to go Gunslinger style before Vergil... now i'm mixing Swordmaster into the mix a bit...

i actually killed Cerberus first go too... i forgot about that, and i also forgot that big flying worm thing... i did kill that first go too... (i actually found the worm thing really easy... and pointless)

(by first boss i meant that sythe guy that teleports around... it's outside Dante's office... i considered it a boss since his health bar came up)

and so far i've found secret levels 1, 2, 3 and 4... but i haven't passed 3 yet (you have to stay off the ground for 20 seconds... it's probably easy with Air Hike)

i was wondering if there were any more weapons...

i don't know about Sword being better for all bosses, i've never had any dramas with Guns until Vergil

guess i'll wait and see now... another boss i forgot was the Leviathan... owned him using guns...

i've never used the other styles though... (Royal Guard and Trickster)
