E3 Listings 2005

PALGN Feature | Its nearly that time of the year again. We bring you the entries for this years E3.
In Los Angeles, from May 18 to May 20, all of the biggest gaming companies will come together for the biggest event of the year, E3.

Fans will rejoice as they are treated to some of the first information on the next generation consoles - PS3, Nintendo Revolution and Xbox 360.

We know for fact that Microsoft will be showing of the Xbox 360's new GUI (graphical user interface, for those playing at home). The GUI will allow users to play with custom playlists. The need for games to be indivudualy programmed to incorporate playlists has now been eliminated. Also the GUI will allow gamers to sell their own content through Xbox Live, such as maps, levels or skins.

Another feature that Microsoft will be showing off is the new Player Card feature. This feature will allow users to show of their stats, friends online, in game preferences and favourite playlists. Now why is this great? It allows you to search for others users with similar skills and game preferences.

There has been a lot of confusion as to if Nintendo will be showing of their next generation console at this years E3. We know for sure they will be rolling videos of their upcoming games but showing of the actual console we can not be sure. Apparently, Nintendo boss Satoru Iwata is worried about the other companies stealing their ideas. It is more likely Nintendo will be focusing more on their Online service which will be demonstrated using the DS handheld console.

And finally, when was asked if the PS3 would be shown at E3, Sony Computer Entertainment president Ken Kutaragi was quoted by Reuters as saying "there has been some talk that development is not going well, but we expect to have a playable version at E3. We are pushing ahead with that schedule in mind." I spose we can only wait and see.

Um, Nintendo have announced a whole pile of their DS and GameCube games which will be at E3, and they don't seem to be on the list at all... there's tons missing. icon_kero.gif
Zelda isn't even listed, and that's been officially confirmed several times! icon_lol.gif

Just added Zelda, forgot a major one. But about the DS games I think ive got most of them down.

Remember there are over 1000 products that are going to be shown at E3. Its pretty hard to know every single one of them.
If you know any others, please tell me and Ill add them to the article icon_smile.gif

According to IGN's list, Microsoft have confirmed that Perfect Dark Zero will make an appearance at E3, so yes. icon_kero.gif
The page (which is presumably to be believed, IGN aren't wrong often icon_razz.gif) indicates that there are still loads of very important Nintendo titles missing from PALGN's E3 list, those being
Advance Wars DS (DS)
Animal Crossing DS (DS) [will showcase online abilities of DS]
Mario Kart DS (DS)
Metroid Prime: Hunters (DS)
"Super Mario Bros. DS" (DS)
and to lesser extents (because they've already been released in Japan),
Nintendogs (DS)
Kirby: Cursed Canvas (DS)
Fire Emblem: Souen no Kiseki (Cube).
