What we know about Project Ogre is next to nothing. A new game directed by Hideo Kojima, and running on Kojima Productions' proprietary game engine, the 'Fox Engine'. That, unfortunately, is it. Until today, that is. Posting on his official twitter, as he often does, the man himself has posted two early screenshots from a Project Ogre prototype, giving a first ever look into the title.
Both screenshots can be seen below, and neither reveals as much as we'd like. The first shows a pony tailed soldier seemingly sneaking past an armoured vehicle, a distant fortress and looming mountains implying long draw distances and large gameplay environments. The second is more of a technology demo. As noted by Hideo Kojima, Fox Engine will make use of transparent textures and meshes, and in this image he demonstrates the effect of underwear appearing through thin, white fabric.
What we take away from this screenshots will be no different to everybody else; pure speculation and wonder. Why not let us know what you'd like to see from Project Ogre in the comments below.
