Australian Gaming Bargains - 13/10/2011

PALGN Feature | Reach for the sky!
This week's bargains listing doesn't necessarily see a plethora of hotly anticipated new release titles, but there are still some interesting deals to be had. I feel ripped off. I just got back from Target, with the $449 bundle, but they only gave me Forza 4, not Forza 5 icon_wink.gif

edit - not as funny now that you fixed it icon_smile.gif

go the aussie dollar!

Don't think it has much - if anything - to do with the value of the Australian dollar (which has fallen pretty dramatically recently). It's mostly just retail competitors trying to capture the early market.

I wouldn't say dramatically, it's back above parity now. Distributors and retails have to stop pricing games back at the 80's mark, when the aussie dollar was around 60c to 70c.

Word was the RRP of games was going to drop is the dollar remained strong. We shall see.

$110 for games that are $60 in the US is a bit much I think. Game retailers should be the ones bitching about that I would have thought.

^ I read an article stating our JB are thinking of going into the import model as local distributors are charging too much. Times a-changing.

Here's the link

GOG.com have Beyond Good & Evil and the Rayman games discounted this weekend.

They also listed Little Big Adventure 2 this week.

BG&E and LBA2 are both very good games.
