Oh look, another week without any significant release worth paying att-wait...what? We have something new?!
Indeed we do. After weeks of mediocre software releases we're finally seeing a glimpse of the light at the end of the tunnel, that light being the onslaught of top tier software releases spread across the next few months.
Sports and puzzle fans have something new to look forward to this month, on separate platforms no less. Console gamers with a taste for rugby can try their hand at the World Cup in Rugby World Cup 2011, which is set to release on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Jewel Quest 4 occupies the portable space, puzzling up a storm on the Nintendo DS. Both should offer some solid gaming this Thursday.
But we did mention significant releases, and this week's spotlight is well and truly fixed on a modern augmentation of an old classic.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution

A decade ago a little title known as Deus Ex took the world by storm, with it's open cyberpunk role playing gameplay quickly elevating it to what many consider one of the greatest and most ambitious games ever made. Followed by an underwhelming sequel, many figured the franchise was dead... until now. Deus Ex: Human Revolution is a return to form for cyberpunk role playing, where open gameplay allows freedom of play, and every decision is not without consequence. Prequel to the original, players star as Adam Jensen, a mechanically augmented ex-cop tasked with hunting down the terrorists who attacked Sarif Industries and kidnapped his girlfriend. This technological renaissance explodes on PC, Xbox 360 and PlaySation 3 this Thursday.
