Renegade Ops announced

PALGN News | Another delicious dose of destruction on the way.
Those crazy Swedes at Avalanche Studios who blew up our gaming platforms with Just Cause 2, are set to do it once more with publisher Sega announcing that the developer is working on a new title. Renegade Ops is a downloadable title which will be headed to PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 later this year.

Senior Producer Andreas Thorsén describes Renegade Ops as a game that is "all about driving or flying around blowing stuff up while playing with your friends and that to us, is a dream-project".

This vehicular shooter promises gamers "a wide variety of vehicles" armed with a host of weaponry including electromagnetic shock waves and "a huge Gatling gun". As well as a single-player component, Renegade Ops will offer players the chance to buckle up for some co-operative action with two-player split-screen and four-player online co-op also confirmed for the title.

While no specific release period has been highlighted, Renegade Ops is slated for some time this year. Pricing of the title is yet to be announced.
