Australian Sales Charts - Week Ending 28/11/04

PALGN News | This week, the charts go Underground.
After a surprisingly slow start, Need for Speed: Underground 2 has drifted into the #1 spot on the charts in its second week. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Half Life 2 managed to nail the other two podium positions, while, in a shock result, Halo 2 crashed to #4. Those wacky folks from the WWE managed to grab the sixth place on debut with Smackdown vs. Raw, and World of Warcraft came in at #7, holding up the PC end of the bargain.

Also of note is the disappointing debut of the highly anticipated Killzone, which only managed to scrape into the PS2 at top 10. An overwhelmed number of mediocre reviews no doubt aiding in this result.

Expect to see various reviews of these games in the coming weeks on PALGN.

This is updated weekly, with all charts provided by GfK.

All Consoles (full priced games)

PS2 (over $50)

GameCube (over $50)

Xbox (over $50)

GBA (over $30)

Surprising to see Halo 2 fall down already...

not really... anyone who was going to buy it already has it... so no more sales...

such is the lot of an over-hyped product...

i'm actually surprised World of Warcraft isn't higher, since it apparently sold in excess of 500,000 units on it's launch date...

It'll be interesting to see how Prime 2 fares in the next charts. Here's hoping it hits the top 10...
