After Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare 2, its Treyarch’s turn to shine with the next entry in the cinematic FPS series, Call of Duty. Call of Duty: Black Ops follows the secret missions of the world’s first special operations soldiers, with players taking part in deniable operations from Cuba to Vietnam. At the other side of the equation, multiplayer has also received a major overhaul. You now use in-game currency, as opposed to levelling up, to gain access to new weapons, gear and perks. Players can also gamble their currency in several new modes known as Wager Matches. The electrifying co-op Nazi Zombie mode is also returning, with several new and unexpected features. Call of Duty: Black Ops will be available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, Wii and Nintendo DS. Check back for PALGN’s review of the game very soon.
