If You don't have a gamecube, GET ONE!!!

Damn there's some awesome games on GC. Pikmin 2 is amazing, and now with Metroid Echoes coming out, Damn!

It's a damn shame it hasn't taken off here (Australia is GC's worst market in the world, but worldwide GC is No 2, mainly since ther's basically no xb in Japan).

I hope Next generation MS and Nintendo make their consoles compatible. It probably won't be too hard, since Nintendo is keeping the same Partners' components (IBM, ATI) MS is using the same companies for the next thingy of theirs.

How awesome would that be? I'm sick of having to buy several consoles to have all the best games.

And you could have the best of all worlds: I'd love to play Halo with a wavebird, and also not have to buy 4 controllers and expensive component cables for EVERY machine, not to mention a switch box.

Please make this happen!!!

icon_lol.gif Don't see that happening somehow.
How would controls work from the games if Microsoft and Nintendo made controllers with different buttons? icon_smile.gif
And what about differing hardware specs?

The only way it could possibly work is if they joined and Nintendo developed for Microsoft, which Nintendo has stated (thankfully) it's not ever going to do. icon_smile.gif

...
But yes. Cube owns. icon_lol.gif

Here's a bloomberg link to show that GC is ahead of xb in japan:

http://quote.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=10000101&sid=a6lnGKueKIro&refer=japan

Doesn't have the figures, but basically GC has a 3 million lead in japan, which keeps them over the top, even though in USA xb has a 1.5 million lead. (I'll see if I can find more links later)

GC is more popular (then xb) in most of mainland europe (germany, france etc), but not in the UK.

they both get thrashed by Sony, though. Worldwide the user base is basically 70/15/15 percentage wise.

Oh, and keep in mind that 2 million halo 2s is a lot for a day, but both GTA3 and Vice city sold more then twice halo 1 EACH (Both sold over 10 million), and for comparison Smash Bros Melee sold almost 4.5 million. And even then, Super Mario Bros 1 sold more then 5 times GTA3 and Vice city. (Mario 1 sold 60 million copies)

he did say Halo 1... which has been out an awful long time, and been released in many different savings packages...

according to the ABC (American BC, not Australian BC) news the other day (day before Halo 2 came out) GTA:SA had sold 2.6M units on release day and they were looking to see if Halo 2 would beat it...

by those stats, i guess not...

possibly, but i won't icon_razz.gif

anyway, the aussie sales figures are in

Halo 2 sold 104,000 units
GTA:SA sold 58,000 units

i wonder how many more GTA:SA could've sold had everywhere not been understocked... i know you can't get it in WA still, or at least not around me, and from what i've been told, anywhere else... (i am willing to be proven wrong, since i want the game)
