Battle Arena event in Melbourne this weekend

Fighting game fans in Melbourne will be pleased to hear that Couch Warriors are holding their latest fighting game tournament, Battle Arena, this weekend.

Held on Saturday 2 October and Sunday 3 October, the tournament will officially feature Super Street Fighter IV, with a world class One-on-One tournament, as well as Teams tournament and a Sydney Vs. Melbourne friendly rivalry Exhibition tournament. Other 2D fighting games that will be featured include Blazblue and Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike.

Official 3D fighting games will include Tekken 6, Virtua Fighter 5 and Soul Calibur 4. Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Melee will also be featured. There are prizes to be won from the event's many sponsors, and winners will also walk away with a share from the entry fee cash pool.

The event will be held in CQ, Event Room 2, 123 Queen St., Melbourne VIC 3000.

Why... that's tomorrow. Would of been nice to go. Would of pulled out some of my BlazBlue moves!
