Mana Bar Grand Opening

PALGN News | Two weeks away...
If your tastes include gaming and partying, and you live in Brisbane, then make sure to clear your calendar for Saturday 20 March. On that date, Mana Bar will be fully operational for its Grand Opening, from midday until midnight.

The bar, which features an array of game consoles playing games ranging from the nostalgic to the latest and greatest, will offer a strict 'no cover charge' policy and feature free entry, as well as free games. The launch will feature a range of events, including exclusive early code of XBLA title Raskulls by Australian developer Halfbrick Studios. Gamer themed cocktails, hourly giveaways and prizes, and the chance to meet Bioshock's Little Sister are all on the agenda for the opening as well.

Mana Bar is located at 420 Brunswick St., Fortitude Valley, and to see the flyer for the Grand Opening with further details, check out the media panel.

If there is anytime to go, it's before the controllers get all grubby.

I will be there rocking out with my controller out! :)

Good to see no cover charge and what not. That makes it very appealing. Now I just need to know how to work a controller and a drink at the same time.

controller on the floor / table, thumb on joystick and trained pinky finger for button pressing.

Now the shoulder buttons you're screwed.

Conversely double team it with a left hander, one person handles the joystick another the buttons and you're golden!

I'd love to hit that up for opening night - damned this being in another state business. Hobnob with the 'celebs', down a few heroic strength drinks, challenge someone to a Wii off... heh.

I expect full photographic coverage from board members!

The controllers would be as dirty as the mouse/kb at Internet cafes I guess and all games will be in 3D after a few drinks
