After the smashing success that the Grand Theft Auto series has endured on the PS2, speculation has surrounded Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, even months before it was officially announced. The latest information filtering in comes from an un-named UK magazine, unveiling the following details regarding the game. Changing hairstyles is possible. The graphics engine contains six times the draw-distance. Only interior transitions cause load times. Appearance will alter the way NPC characters react. Cops can latch onto cars. Motorcycle cops are now in the game. The game will be packaged on a single, dual-layered DVD.

Resident Evil 4 delayed to 2005?
We Said:
We love Gamestop and EB games - they manage to break the biggest news regarding game release dates before publishers. The latest release schedule updated by EB Games suggests Resident Evil 4 has been delayed to February 2005. Could this be yet another exclusive broken by a release list? We think so. Resident Evil 4 wouldn't be the only title delayed until 2005 this year.
The Real Story: True, Resident Evil 4 won't see a release in Australia or America this year.
Star Wars: Knights of the Republic 2 brought forward?
We Said:
Lucasarts has updated their KOTOR2 website with all new information and has changed the release date to a northern hempishere "Winter". EB Games are also reporting the game will ship on the 12th of December, 2004.

Xbox 2 renamed?
We Said:
Forget Xbox Next - Microsoft has recently conducted a survey to gather information on possible names for the next console. Some mentioned include Xbox 247, Xbox 360, Xbox 2, Xbox EV, and Xbox FS. Other questions in the survey focus specifically on the title Xbox FS. Reports even claim a logo for the Xbox FS was included.

EA No longer online for PAL regions?
We Said:
Some EA games will be offline only for PAL Regions.
The Real Story:
This is true and some titles such as Madden NFL 2005 and Tiger Wood's PGA Tour 2005 are offline for PAL regions.
New F-Zero to be announced for the GBA?
We Said:
F-Zero has appeared on every one of Nintendo's platforms since the Super NES. After the rave reviews of F-Zero GX it is no surprise that PALGN learns that Japanese retailers expect Nintendo to announce another F-Zero title for the Gameboy Advance called F-Zero: Climax.

PSP Set for Japanese release this year?
We Said:
The recent distribution lists coming out of Japan have been making guesses as to when Sony will release their upcoming Playstation Portable. The current date is set at December 3rd, 2004 - which is, coincidently, the 10th anniversary of the Playstation's launch

True, kind of, The PSP will be out this year in Japan.
New Halo 2 Beta Information?
We Said:

Gran Turismo PSP to be a direct port of Gran Turismo 4?
We Said:
SCE has posted an interview with Gran Turismo producer Kazunori Yamauchi on its official Japanese site, revealing that the PSP version is planned to have the same amount of content as the PlayStation 2 version. Yamauchi has also revealed that Gran Turismo PSP will launch after the release of the PSP.
