According to a recently updated release Calendar on Sony of Japan's main page Gran Turismo 4 has been moved to a "summer" release. If Sony aren't careful Gran Turismo 4 is going to be released too late to reach maximum sales potential (Remember, this is Gran Turismo we're talking about - Ed). If this is true then Forza Motorsport will be out before Gran Turismo 4, which could be a big blow to Sony.
Fable 1.5 in development?
Fable is one of the most ambitious titles released in 2004. The developers promised a lot of things that were cut from the final version, giving plenty of reason for a Fable 1.5 to be in the works.
Gaming website Kikizo Games is reporting that during a discussion with Peter Molyneux he dropped news of Fable 1.5 being in development. Whether or not this would be similar to the downloadable content of Ninja Gaiden or a full stand-alone retail package we don't know.
PSTwo to be unveiled next week?
The rumour of a redesigned Playstation 2 has been circulating ever since Sony registered the trademark earlier this year. It is common sense that Sony would re-release the Playstation 2 as a smaller console, seeing as they did it with great success with the PSOne.
"Japan's Sony Corp is expected to unveil a smaller version of its popular Playstation 2 game console on October 26," the Hollywood Reporter said on its Web site. "Called the PStwo, Sony's new console will be 30 percent smaller than the current PlayStation 2, but is expected to retail for the same price."
Sony's expected move prompted Take-Two Interactive to push back the release of its Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas video game by one week to October 26 to coordinate with the launch of the PStwo, creating a very profitable package for Sony. There have been shortages of Playstation 2's around America which has also suggested that Sony are trying to get rid of stock.
