Australian sales charts, week ending 29/11/09
PALGN News | Once again, Nintendo proves its blockbusters have more staying power than the competition.

For the second week in a row, Nintendo's New Super Mario Bros. Wii is the top selling game in the country - and we wouldn't bet against it holding onto the position until next year. Also batting for the Wii is Cricket, up three spots to second place - no doubt the first test match of the summer helped to increase its sales. Keeping the sports theme going is Wii Sports Resort, surging up seven places to close the week in third. Re-entering the charts in fourth place is Mario Kart Wii, making it four in a row for Nintendo's little white box. Meanwhile, Infinity Ward's blockbuster shooter, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, has slipped again this week, with the PS3 version landing in fifth place.
It's back to the Wii at six, as Wii Fit Plus managed to sneak up an extra place over last week's finish. At seven and eight lies Assassin's Creed II, with the the Xbox 360 edition faring slightly better than the PS3 version. Both suffered big drops in only their second week on sale, though. Modern Warfare 2 makes another appearance at nine, this time on the Xbox 360, with the PC version having disappeared from the all format top ten. Closing things out for us is - shock - Wii Play, which by this point has to be the most expensive drinks coaster going around.
