Ubisoft announces Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands

PALGN News | Due for release in May 2010.
Ubisoft has officially announced the existence of a new entry in their venerable Prince of Persia franchise, subtitled The Forgotten Sands.

According to the press release published over at VG247, the title will mark a return to the storyline established by the Sands of Time trilogy and is in development for 'consoles and handhelds'. Specific details have been thin on the ground, although the press release does suggest that a number of 'fan-favorite elements from the original series' will be present alongside a host of 'new gameplay innovations'.

Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is due for release in May 2010, presumably alongside the film adaptation of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (directed by Mike Newell and produced by industry giant Jerry Bruckheimer).

Only consoles and handhelds? no PC? icon_sad.gif Oh well

I really need to play a Prince of Persia game. I love Assassin's Creed 1 and 2, so I should love those too
