Nintendo Store update - 27/11/09

PALGN News | Dragons and helicopters: the ultimate battle for the skies.
It’s Friday again, which means the PAL Nintendo stores have been updated. This week, a total of seven games have been released across the Wii Shopping Channel and DSi Store.

Title: Shanghai II: Dragon's Eye
System: Sega Mega Drive (Virtual Console)
Price: 800 Wii Points

Shanghai II: Dragon’s Eye is a tile matching game where players attempt to remove all the Mahjong tiles on the playing field. There are eight tile sets as well as 12 patterns based on animals of the Chinese zodiac. Also, you can play competitive multiplayer with a friend where one player attempts to remove tiles from a field while the other re-positions them to make this impossible.

Title: Rabbids Lab
System: WiiWare
Price: 500 Wii Points

Ubisoft seem to be taking notice of a few DSiWare games, as Rabbids Lab is essentially a smaller version of Rabbids Go Home. Instead of scaring the pants off humans though, players simply get to experiment with the Rabbid customisation options from the full retail game. You can paint your Rabbid’s fur, dress them up with hats and other little accessories, and tickle them with volts of electricity. To top it off, you can even send pictures of your pet to friends.

Title: Copter Crisis
System: WiiWare
Price: 500 Wii Points

In case the title wasn’t obvious enough, this game sees you pilot helicopters through various terrain. You control your copter by using the Wii remote’s pointer, and during flight you’ll need to avoid hazards and destroy targets. There’s also DLC in the form of additional helicopters to control, but it will obviously cost you extra Wii Points for those.

Title: Solitaire
System: WiiWare
Price: 500 Wii Points

Do we really need to explain this? It’s essentially a WiiWare version of what’s pre-installed on most PCs these days. Unless you’re the type of person who has a shared PC and is craving some Solitaire action on your TV, we honestly don’t know why you’d want to even bother with this one.

Title: Dragon Master Spell Caster
System: WiiWare
Price: 500 Wii Points

In Dragon Master Spell Caster players mount a dragon and fly off into the wilderness; exploring their surroundings and fighting any other dragons they come across. You can apparently cast spells while fighting opponents, and there is an option to play with a second player.

Title: Mighty Flip Champs
System: DSiWare
Price: 800 DSi Points

Mighty Flip Champs is a puzzle platformer that has been available in America for around six months. The game is rather quirky in its design, as players have to progress through levels by flipping pages at appropriate spots. It’s difficult to describe in this short paragraph, so we’ll link you to this YouTube gameplay video.

Title: Reflect Missile
System: DSiWare
Price: 500 DSi Points

Unfortunately not a lot of information is known about Reflect Missile as it was literally only revealed yesterday via an OFLC classification. The game was developed by Q Games, the same team responsible for Star Fox Command and the PS3’s PixelJunk games.

Woohoo! Mighty Flip Champs is finally here!
It's a shame Super Mario Kart wasn't released though, after being released in America on Monday.
