Australian sales charts, week ending 08/11/09
PALGN News | The Nintendo Wii takes back the charts.

It's time for a new number one, but it's not exactly what you would call a new game - it's Mario Kart Wii, enjoying a rather heavy spike in sales. Of course, Wii Fit Play is right behind it in second place, never one to be too far away from the action. The imaginitively-titled Cricket, also on the Wii, has taken up residence in third place, while Rabbids Go Home made its rather impressive debut in the fourth slot. As a result of all the Wii-activity, the reigning champion, Forza Motorsport 3, fell all the way to fifth place.
PlayStation 3 brawler Tekken 6 makes its first appearance in the charts in sixth place, which will no doubt come as a disappointment to some. Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City took a big hit, falling five places to close the week at seven. The ever-popular Wii Sports Resort managed to move up in the world, gaining a place to finish up in eighth. The DS edition of Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games came in at ninth, while another Wii game - Wii Play - rounds out the charts in tenth place.
The charts are updated weekly and are provided by those wonderful people at GfK.
