Australian sales charts, week ending 25/10/09
PALGN News | Forza 3 and Borderlands make their presence felt.

We have another brand new number one this week, which is always quite exciting. The honour goes to Xbox 360 racing sim, Forza Motorsport 3, taking the top spot in its first week on sale. In second place we have the resurgent Mario Kart Wii, continuing to sell despite being almost as old as dirt. As a result, fellow Wii game Wii Fit Plus took a slight tumble, falling to third place. Last week's number one, the impressive Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, suffered this week, dropping three places to close the week in fourth place. It's another newcomer at five, with the Xbox 360 version of genre-hybrid Borderlands making its debut.
Crazily, the PlayStation 2 managed to get a game in the all-format top ten this week, in the form of WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2010. At seven lies the Wii edition of Mario and Sonic at the Olympics Games, down four places from last week. Borderlands makes its second appearance of the week at eight, this time on the PlayStation 3. Former chart kingpin, Wii Sports Resort, dropped to ninth place - though it will almost certainly be back up the top as we get closer to Christmas. Closing out the charts at ten is the PS3 incarnation of Smackdown vs. Raw 2010.
