Abbey Road & other albums for Beatles Rock Band

PALGN News | To touch our lonely hearts and rubber souls.
MTV Games and Harmonix have announced that arguably the Beatles most famous album, Abbey Road, will be the first long-player from the Fab Four to be downloadable and playable on The Beatles: Rock Band. While the game disk game already features a lot of Abbey Road content such as “Come Together”, “Something”, “Octopus’s Garden”, “I Want You (She’s So Heavy)”, “Here Comes The Sun” and “The End”, the last three tracks: " Maxwell's Silver Hammer”, “Oh! Darling”, and “Because” will now be available.

Also available will be the 16 minute b-side medley that includes: “You Never Give Me Your Money”, “Sun King”, “Mean Mr. Mustard”, “Polythene Pam”, “She Came in Through the Bathroom Window”, “Golden Slumbers”, “Carry That Weight” and “The End”.

Additionally, the following songs from Abbey Road can also be played as 1-to-3-song sets, based on how they were recorded / composed:
  • You Never Give Me Your Money
  • Sun King / Mean Mr. Mustard
  • Polythene Pam / She Came in Through the Bathroom Window
  • Golden Slumbers / Carry That Weight / The End
  • Her Majesty
The songs will be available for Xbox 360 on 20 October and PlayStation 3 System on 22 October.

Individual Abbey Road singles: “Maxwell's Silver Hammer”, “Oh! Darling”, “Because”, “You Never Give Me Your Money” and “Her Majesty" will also be available for the Wii on October 20. Wii owners can also purchase the following multi-track sets:
  • You Never Give Me Your Money
  • Sun King / Mean Mr. Mustard
  • Polythene Pam / She Came in Through the Bathroom Window
  • Golden Slumbers / Carry That Weight / The End
However, because too much of the Beatles is never enough, additional albums such as Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967) will be available for download in November and Rubber Soul (1965) will be available in December.

We will update you on local prices when they become known.

Finally! Abbey Road! Awesome Awesome Awesome! Love the medley they did of the last 9 tracks on the album. Since they all segue into each other anyway.

1360 points for the Abbey Road lot.

Then noticed the Queen song pack available too @_@

Maxwell's Silver Hammer is my least favourite The Beatles song by a long shot and I wont let it touch my moneys.

Otherwise, bring on the rest. I cant wait to play the medley.
