LostWinds: Winter of Melodies is the sequel to the WiiWare launch title LostWinds. In this new adventure players have the ability to switch between the seasons Summer and Winter to solve puzzles, as well as swim, break rocks and summon cyclones. Unfortunately the game has not been released on the Australian Wii Shop Channel, but Frontier Games has stated it is on the way so it’s just a matter of being patient (grumble…). The game will set you back 1000 Wii points.
Happy Holidays: Halloween is best describe as a Wii software application – it lets you send Halloween greeting cards to people registered in your Friend’s List. Considering Halloween isn’t really celebrated in PAL territories, we have no idea why you would want to spend 500 Wii points on this.
Final Fight 2 is a beat ‘em up that was originally released in 1993. The game is set a few years after the original, and sees Mike Hagger return to take on the remnants of the Mad Gear gang. New to Final Fight 2 is the ability to play co-operatively with a buddy, otherwise it’s identical to the original. Final Fight 2 will set you back 800 Wii points.
Wonder Boy III: The Dragon’s Trap was originally released in 1989 and is considered to be one of the best games that were produced for the Sega Master System. In the game Wonder Boy is cursed and turns into a dragon, so he goes on a quest to find the Salamander Cross that will change him back into a human. After defeating bosses, players will gain the ability to change into different animals including a lizard, mouse, piranha, lion and hawk. Each creature has unique abilities, such as the mouse being able to enter small holes and lizard being able to breathe fire. The game will set you back 500 Wii points.
Dragon Quest Wars was developed by Intelligent Systems (the developers behind the Advanced Wars series) as part of a collaboration between Nintendo and Square Enix to create six new games for the DSi download service. The game is a turn-based strategy game which features online and offline multiplayer for up to four players. Your main goal is to take turns fighting other monsters, with battles lasting between 5-10 turns each. The game will set you back 500 DSi points.
The Photo Clock is exactly as it sounds – it’s another clock application which lets you display a photo you’ve taken with your DSi console. It will set you back 200 DSi points, lord only knows why you’d download it though.
