Yakuza 3 in English?

PALGN News | Yes!
Will we actually see an English version of Yakuza 3? Maybe, according to Sega America’s assistant community manager, Aaron Webber. Posting on the PlayStation Blog, Webber said:

“Yakuza 3 is not cancelled – and the possibility for localizing it does, in fact, still exist. The original news story that went around about Yakuza 3 being declined for the US was false, and localizing the game still remains a big point of discussion for many people here at SEGA, and especially those of us on SEGA’s community team. I know it’s far from an announcement, but I just felt you should know that the chance does still exist.”

With Yukuza 4 being displayed at the Tokyo Game Show later this week, a decision on localising Yakuza 3 will have to be made pretty quickly, otherwise it's likely that you’ll have to learn Japanese if you want to play both it and its sequel. Konichiwa.

EDIT: Webber has now confirmed that Yakuza 3 will be localised for the US and European markets.

whats going on with sega games? thay've made some pretty decent games in the past couple of years but they haven't reached the popularity as some other undeserved titles

bad marketing? bad distribution? what?

I haven't played the first two, but from what I've read, it reminds me of Shenmue. Is this game worth getting excited over as I was with Shenmue?

My apologies for the double post.

I've played through Yakuza 1 & 2 and most of Shenmue 2 and I liked Yakuza more. I'm definitely excited about this.

Yakuza 3 is awesome. Only thing I don't like is the flames around kicks etc, really takes away from the whole realism thing they've created.
