More classic games for the PSN?

PALGN News | Anyone up for some Oddworld?
IGN has spotted some sweet retro game listings on the US Entertainment Software Rating Board’s website, which look set for release on the PlayStation Network (at least in the US) in the near future.

Games that the ESRB has re-rated for the PS3 and PSP include Oddworld: Abe's Exodus, Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee, Syphon Filter 2 and Um Jammer Lammy. According to IGN, this usually means that the games will be released as a PSone classics over the PlayStation Network.

Fingers crossed that we get some of this retro-gaming goodness here in Australia.

Although, there are 50 something PS1 games on the US store which we don't have in Australia, so I don't hold much hope for seeing them here.

I own all them games on disc besides Um Jammer Lammy and I have NO interest in it.

Um Jammer Lammy is brilliant! Already have it on PSone, but I would buy it again just because it's a fun game. Plus I wanna see the modified level the US market received due to Hellish themes (which PAL versions were left intact for a change).

I was thinking just the other day that I needed to track down Oddyssey to go with my copy of Exoddus, but now I won't have to. Hell, maybe I'll get Exoddus too and put them both on my PSP.

I don't see this as PAL news. We'll never see them here.

Lets just hope they start releasing some of the PS2 games redone like the GoW series with trophy support and HD. Now that would be awesome :)

We have been disappointed many times before with what goes to the US but doesn't come to PAL. Crazy though, if it works for the US, then AUS and the UK should at least be able to get them without too much effort.

Anyway, fingers crossed!

Could be considered a bad call but i think the Oddworlds, along with RE's are some of the ONLY PS1 games that actually still hold their age. Really would strongly consider getting these titles.

I'm with you guys, there is no reason to get excited over this unless... there is some chance the games will be released via our PS Store.

I know regular PSN bought content from the US store works fine on PAL consoles, but do the NTSC PS1 games work too?
