Sonic Adventure DX getting ported to current-gen consoles?

If the recent news of Sonic & Knuckles coming to XBLA wasn't enough to titillate your love for SEGA's spiky, blue mascot there may soon be another reason to celebrate with reports filtering out that Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut could be on its way to current-gen consoles.

As first reported by That Gaming Site, the OFLC, (Australia's Classification Board) has listed a new rating for the title, which suggests that a port of the GameCube title (which itself was a port of the original Dreamcast release) may find itself arriving on the current systems in the near future.

At this time, SEGA has neither confirmed nor denied the rumour at large.

I wouldn't mind a port of Sonic Adventure, it's easily the best Sonic game (ignoring Big Cat) in the past 10 years or so. Hopefully they'll improve the draw distance too. I'm no graphics whore, but I recently tried to play through the game again, and I couldn't believe how crappy the draw distance was. Especially because this game was the best looking title in its' day.
