Another update on Square-Enix's 'NEW GAME'

PALGN News | A boy riding a dragon over the countryside.

We only just reported on the dragon and new music appearing on Square-Enix's strange 'NEW GAME' website, but today something else has appeared on the website.

If you go on the site now you will find that a boy wielding a sword and shield has appeared, sitting on the dragon that only recently showed up. The picture makes sense now with only the large number '4' looking odd.

A game about a young hero riding a dragon, has Square-Enix done this before?

UPDATE

A girl has now joined the boy. Now we have a boy and girl riding a dragon over the countryside.

He's got a ho on there with him as well. Cruising round on his dragon with his woman I imagine, probably headed to the main drag to cut a few bad laps.

I doubt it'll be a new Tactic's Advance as they've already released a sequel to that on the DS, also won't be a Bahamut Lagoon sequel (I'm still waiting for one) as the art style doesn't match the previous title at all.

I'm thinking it's probably an FF spin-off on DS/Wii, or maybe a new IP but still on one of those 2 consoles.

Or 4 main characters? Seriously I thought that would have been the first thing people would have assumed.

Seem's this new game is another Final Fantasy game for the DS.

"Final Fantasy Gaiden is a DS RPG in which players take control of a 14-year-old boy tasked with saving a princess. The game kicks off on your birthday as you're summoned by a King whose daughter has been kidnapped by a witch."

I'll just say one thing. The game looks ugly as ****. Seriously compared to Square's other efforts on the DS it looks like the just put in no effort whatsoever.

Are you kidding? Bit hard to tell from those tiny, scanned shots - but it's looking pretty lush to me. I'm really digging the style of it, sparse details and smooth, solid, eye-catching colours and shapes.
